What is amazing is that someone made a hack that I used, on my own legit copy ? I must have installed it about 100 times since purchasing, as this windows 10 drives me crazy its so glitch with its windows defender taking over sometimes 100% of cpu making my laptop freeze sometimes for twenty mins or a reeboot. I got the same thing cant use internet to activate as this service is no longer offered, and wouldnt let me do telephone registration I rang microsoft helpline, and the lady said she didnt believe I purchased my office 2016 as I would have registered it. In this case, it is on the same machine, just rebuilt with a fresh OS, but either way they *should* have no problems. They've done everything right and even purchased a retail box product when they could (should) have purchased oem with the machine - because they had more freedom to move it from one machine to another I'm feeling pretty stuck here for this client. Then chose my country/region (United States) to be presented with the message "Telephone activation is no longer supported for your product".

What I didn't expect, however, was when I clicked Back and chose "Telephone Activation", When I installed the Office license back to the newly rebuilt machine, the online activation failed (as I fully expected it to, since this is by design). They have purchased some new computers and I have put those into place and reformatted the machines that were replaced in order to cycle those down to other users.

My client purchased a retail box version of Office 2010 back when it was the most current product.
