Try to get the third stab of your auto-attack in before you go back into stealth, it's the one with the red splat on its skill icon and the heavy stabbing character animation.įor open world you can consider using Pitfall to help with damage and crowd control against groups, but if you're struggling to survive you may want to grab Shadowstep as an easy escape tool. Otherwise, auto-attack until the 'revealed' debuff wears off (3 seconds) and do the 5 > 1 combo again.

Playing dagger/dagger as a power build is all about the backstabs: Skill 5 gets you into stealth, move behind the enemy, skill 1 backstabs for big damage, then if they're below half health spam 2. For gear, you want full zerk, that's power/precision/ferocity stats. I'd recommend using some of the signet skills as utilities, you get a lot out of +180 power and precision because your weapon skills are so strong and spammable that you don't need to rely on active utilities for damage. Mostly what you want to do with traits is to pick up anything that says: "power", "% damage", "ferocity" or "% critical damage". I like Trickery as a third choice but it's really up to you. It's the classic dirtbag build in competitive modes and deals acceptable DPS in raids, enough so that while it isn't the absolute best DPS, daggers still find a place as the rifle Deadeye's backup weapons.įor your specialisation choices, you'll certainly want Deadly Arts and Critical Strikes.
